Congratulations
to Michelle, four time World Champion!! For the first time, she
has defended her World title and won in an odd year. She is now
tied with several others as having the most World medals by an American
(6-4 gold, 2 silver.) She is the first 4 time World Champ since
Katarina Witt. Another gorgeous, wonderful program by Michelle,
with 7 clean triples, including a 3/3. Way to go Michelle!!

The
qualifying for Worlds has taken place. I am almost positive that it
won't be shown on TV,
but just in case, I won't give the results here. However, I will say
that during the warmups, Michelle had a problem with her skate blade
coming lose from the boot. She went last in her group, so she had
a while to fix it. According to one of the articles, her father was
the one who fixed the blade. If you want, you can check out results
of group A. Also, check out the following articles and pictures
from the qualifying round. Note, the articles may contain spoliers
for the rest of the competition, such as the results of the pairs.
